What is this? Why should I stay?

This is the very first newsletter for my mailing list...which means it's also the very first newsletter I've ever written! Hopefully that's not too obvious 🫠. Why an email newsletter? Because social media kinda stin---um, has it's...limitations.

• It's toxic
• Social media algorithms may not send you my posts
• You and I can get banned at any time for any reason
• There's no way to thank you for supporting me

On the other hand, email lists are

• Supportive: and light-hearted
• Reliable: not algorithmically restricted
• Safe: I can't get banned...unless I commit tax fraud or something
• Exclusive: You can receive exclusive behind-the-scenes content, access to exclusive limited merch before anyone else, and personal life updates that I can't share on socials (like the fact that I got married 3 weeks ago...surprise!! :D)

Starting today, I plan on sending out these email updates with exclusive contents at least twice per month -- I'm setting the bar fairly low to start because having a wife, dog, and full-time software engineering job makes doing this whole "solo independent artist" thing hard 😅.

Alas, we shall speak again VERY soon...like...probably this weekend :P Talk to you then.
